DFI Lottery

Defiance is proud to have a highly successful lottery system up and running. Each Sunday, players are asked to join the staff at the "DFI Lottery" house, to buy their final tickets and submitting them after the numbers have been drawn. I've compiled a small informational guide on everything lottery related.

[edit] How To Buy A Lottery Ticket
Ok, so first of all you might want to buy yourself a ticket. How to get a ticket? You'll have to go to the "DFI Lottery"-house. You may find the DFI lottery house east of the Lord British castle. As shown below:
When you enter through the main doors, you will see that it's decorated as a great hall. At the end of that hall is the actual staff/number-drawing area. You will not be able to go up the stairs to the podium. On the podium you will see two items, a book that explains lottery just like this guide does, and a golden basket.
Now, the basket pretty much is the whole system. First off you want to double click the basket in front of you. Click the blue diamond next to "Buy a ticket for 10,000gold". This money will be pulled directly from your bank box, so you don't need it on you when you purchase your ticket.
Now you've obtained your ticket. Follow further down the guide to learn how to pick your numbers, to claim a reward and what kind of rewards you might be getting.

[edit] Choosing Numbers
Once you have your ticket, you can choose the 6 numbers you wish to submit. Simply double click the ticket and select the 6 numbers you'd wish to pick(In no specific order). It's your choice alone what numbers are on your own ticket.
When you have chosen your numbers, you drag the ticket to the basket and drop it directly onto the basket. The ticket is returned to you, but it officially has been submitted the ticket and your numbers are now permanent and cannot be changed. If you do not drop the ticket onto the basket, your ticket will not be submitted - hence, you won't get a prize even if your numbers are drawn.
So if you wish to play the lottery, make sure you do this to submit it correctly and officially.

On each Sunday, the numbers are drawn. One or several staff members will announce by global messaging(Yellow text in your lower left corner), that all eager ticket holders/or people who still would like to participate, should make their way to the DFI lottery house! Once again, the house is east of the Lord British castle, like shown below:
Remember, if you've bought your ticket sometime during the week, you'll have to wait until Sunday before numbers are drawn and you may possibly claim a reward!
- The order of which the numbers are announced does not matter, neither the order the numbers are set on your ticket. As long as you have the number the staff member
[edit] Claiming Your Winnings
If you want to see if you've won, or if you know you have won. Come to the "DFI Lottery"-house and drop your ticket once more onto the basket to claim your winnings. You will only have one real life week to do this. Once the week has ended and the next week's drawing begins, you will no longer be able to claim any prize you might of won the week previously.

Jackpot of course, which is shown in the window where you can buy your ticket. You can also win a no age Hiryu Statuette as shown in the display case to the east of the podium. You must have an updated client to be able to see this Ethereal Statuette. If need be, use the OSI updater called "uopatch.exe", which you can find in your Ultima Online folder in your computer.
The minimum required correct numbers to get a prize is three. And If you get six, you'll get the whole jackpot! You'll be rich!
