[edit] Ultima Online Controls
This is a brief over look of all the controls that are necessary for playing Ultima Online. This guide is intentionally made for the new players of Ultima Online.
[edit] Movement
Walk ::: Right Click and Hold directing the cursor in the direction desired.
Run ::: Right Click and Hold and move cursor away from character in the direction you want to run.
Pathfind ::: Right Click x2 on desired location.
Open Door ::: Left Click x2 on doors you wish to open.
Auto Follow ::: ALT + Right click on character you wish to follow.
Stop Auto Follow ::: ALT + Right click on your character.

Open Character (Paperdoll) ::: Left Click x2 on whose paper doll you wish to view (If you are in war mode this will cause you to attack the player. Make sure you are in Peace Mode.) //note: this can also be accessed by the toolbar located on the top of your client.
Open Backpack (Inventory) ::: Left Click x2 on the backpack sitting in the bottom right area of your paper doll. //note: this can also be accessed by the toolbar located on the top of your client.
Open Skill Browser ::: Left Click on SKILLS button in paper doll.
Open Journal ::: Left Click on JOURNAL button in paper doll. //note: this can also be accessed by the toolbar located on the top of your client.
Open Status Bar ::: Left Click on STATUS button in paper doll, or Left Click and Hold on a player character and drag cursor.
Open Book (Spellbook/Runebook/Book) ::: Left Click x2 on book in Backpack (Inventory).
Identify Items ::: Left Click on specific item to display name.
Move Items ::: Left Click and Hold and drag to the desired location. //note: To drop the item, simply stop holding the Left Button on mouse.
Open Container ::: Left Click x2 on container.
Open Radar Map ::: Left Click Map on the toolbar located at the top of your client.
Move Window Border ::: Left Click and Hold and Drag the border to desired location.
View Name/Species ::: Left Click on character or creature.
,,, Open chat box ,,, ::: Left click on the chat screen and choose a character name.
[edit] Combat
War Mode ::: Left Click on PEACE button in your Paper doll.
Peace Mode ::: Left Click on WAR button in your Paper doll.
Attack ::: Left Click x2 on target while in War Mode.
[edit] Actions
Use Item (Tools: Axe, Shovel, etc) ::: Left Click x2 on item and Left Click on desired target.
Use Public Moongate ::: Walk into the moongate, select desired location, then click OKAY.
Use Spell ::: Left Click x2 on spell name or icon and Left Click on preferred item / mobile.
Use Skill ::: Left Click icon or jewel beside the skill you want to use in SKILL menu.

Options Window ::: Left Click on OPTIONS button in paper doll.
Macro Options ::: 2D Client: Click on the curved arrow icon (at the bottom left) 3D Client: Click on MACRO button (4th down on the left)
Full Screen Client Window ::: Press ALT + ENTER Once, to return screen to normal follow the same steps, press ALT + ENTER
[edit] Communication
Talk ::: Type in your statement then press ENTER on your keyboard.
Repeat Last Typed ::: Press CTRL + Q
"Heal" ::: Say this near a healer or shrine to resurrect yourself.
"Bank" ::: Say this near a bank to open your bank box.
"Vendor Buy" ::: Say this near a vendor to open a window with goods that he can sell you.
"Vendor Sell" ::: Say this near a vendor to open a window with good that you can sell him.
[edit] Miscellaneous
Zoom (3D Client Only) ::: Spin the mouse wheel.
Help ::: Left Click on the HELP Button on the tool bar on top of your client. Select thee appropriate option, type what you need help with, click OKAY and wait for a staff member to assist you.
Logging Out ::: Left Click on the LOG OUT button in paper doll. //note: Once you've logged out it takes 5 minutes for your character to disappear, so it would be wise to Log Out in safe locations only!
Codex of Wisdom ::: This is a guide that helps a lot of new players that just started. It answers a lot of questions. It is located on your Tool bar at the top of your client and it looks like < ? > , once you see that sign then Left Click it once.
